EPA is responsible for total oversight of testing, sampling and cleanup of the PCB sites. EPA has the legal ability to force the cleanup and to insure Westinghouse and the other parties meet federal regulations concerning all issues relating to the cleanup process. EPA has provided COPA with a technical assistance grant (TAG) to hire technical assistance in understanding and participating in the current process. Technical advisors will help COPA make comments to the EPA at appropriate times during the process.
