The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is a party to the Consent Decree and is the environmental protection and regulation agency for the state of Indiana. IDEM is located in Indianapolis and has assigned severl fulltime people to the Bloomington PCB project. IDEM is responsible for making sure the cleanup of PCBs meets safety and health regulation of the state and acts as an oversight agency for the City of Bloomington concerning the PCB issue.
