Non-Superfund Sites
Numerous sites other than the Superfund sites have been found in the Bloomington region. Listed below are the other sites that have been addressed, if not fully remediated. (The Westinghouse/ABB plant site is still highly contaminated). There are also numerous unidentified sites in residential neighborhoods where people scavanging the copper and aluminum parts within the capacitors dumped the PCB oil in their yards, as well as rural sites, including land that is now under Lake Monroe.
