***************************************************** TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR PCBS IN SEDIMENT COPA has compiled a list of companies and processes that have some capabilities for treating PCBs in sediment, based on a review of EPA references (SITE program and VISITT 4.0 datAbase). This COPA BBS list will be supplemented by company/process profiles in the near future, along with commentary concerning potential applicability to the Bloomington Indiana PCB wastes. We refer you to the COPA BBS section on SOIL treatment in the meantime, if you require detailed information about the treatment options, or would like vendor contact information. The SOIL TREATMENT section of the COPA BBS is more developed than the SEDIMENT section, and many of the treatment options for soil are applicable to sediment as well. CHECK BACK WITH US SOON FOR UPDATES ****************************************************** TWO LISTS FOLLOW. The first is a list of vendors who have reported actual experience treating PCBs in sediment, and who have full-scale equipment. The source of information for this first list is the VISITT 4.0 database, and the entries have not been verified by COPA. A second list, from the EPA Superfind Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) program, follows the VISITT list. The SITE list is limited to companies who are participating in the SITE program, but the data provided has been verified by EPA. ********************************************************* LIST 1: VISITT B&S RESEARCH, INC.
