Week of October 16th

Building Demolition

  • "New" 1994 boilers are to be removed from site by salvage company.
  • "New" 1994 boilers are to be removed from site by salvage company.
  • Continue characterization and packaging of any remaining Universal Wastes.
  • Continue disposal of PCB contaminated materials off-site.
  • Complete off-site disposal of asbestos (as long as disposal contractor has available trucks).
  • Continue off-site disposal of special waste materials.
  • Continue sending scrap metal for recycling.
  • Continue general building demolition.
  • Perform air monitoring for PCBs as necessary.
  • Develop plan for draining, flushing and disposal of oils from the transformers and other electrical components in the substation.
  • Treat and test additional storm water in water treatment system, discharge as appropriate based on discharge limits.

Week of October 23rd

Building Demolition

  • Complete management of any remaining Universal Wastes.
  • Continue general building demolition.
  • Continue off-site disposal of special waste materials.
  • Continue to send scrap metal for recycling.
  • Treat and test additional storm water in water treatment system, discharge as appropriate based on discharge limits.
