Cumulative project costs and comparisons

Dear Ms. Fliss:

As per Supplement to Master Agreement For hazardous Substance Or Petroleum Response Services between the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and Earth Tech, please find the Monthly Report of Operations of the Illinois Central Spring Treatment Plant, Bloomington Indiana for the reporting period of January 2002.

Operational Status
The plant operations for the month of January were normal with no downtown experienced. Precipitation for the month was above average with some 3.13 inches recorded. The maximum rainfall during a 24-hour period was on January 31 with 1.16 inches recorded. This rainfall was preceded by 0.8 of an inch over the previous two days. A total of 5,125,067 gallons of water was processed through the facility with no storage returned for processing during the month. The SRS Tanks remained empty for the period with 376,864 gallons stored on the last day of the month. No overflows of the SRS or the SRS Tanks were experienced.

Corrective Measures Taken or Planned
None to report for January 2002.

Analytical results for the reporting period are attached to this report on the Event Sampling Analysis Log. Results are not available as of this date where entries are logged without test results published.

Unexpected Maintenance Requirements
An electrical problem with the Filter Press was found and repaired. See the incident report January, 2002 Report 1 of 1. No other maintenance problems were reported during this period.

Evidence Of Trespassing
There was no evidence of trespassing at the facility during the reporting period.

Report from Visitors Log / Plant Access
The Visitor's Log is available for inspection at the ICS office. Copies of this log are available to authorized personnel upon request and authorization of the IDEM Project Manager. There were no telephone calls requesting tours from the general public but there was a pre-plan review of the entire facility conducted on January 29 by an engine company of the Bloomington Fire Department.

Jessica Fliss conducted a plant review on January 8 with Joe Hailer and Libby Frey. Meredith Gramelspacher (IDEM), Britt Luther (ET), and Marty Lytle (ET) were in attendance. No other formal or informal reviews were conducted during the month.

Summary of Costs
Total costs for this Project for the reporting period of January 2002 (through 1/2101) was $16,513.55. The summary of cumulative project costs and comparisons to the project budget are attached to this report.
