Summary as a Power Point Presentation

Editor's Note: The Committee that formulated this report were charged to look at all PCB/Sediment contaminantions, but the Hudson River cleanup was the main driver to work quickly and efficiently. Dredging in the Hudson was halted during the study, so that the Committes's conclusions could be used to evaluate the solution used there. The EPA's preferred method has been targeted dredging, but G.E. not happy with this remedy and is even suing over the legality of Superfund.

This report is very relevant to the PCB contamination in Bloomington, as there are sites of continuing concern that contain PCBs in sediments. These are Clear Creek, Richland Creek, Conard's Branch, Stout's Creek, and the Swallow Hole/Beaver Dam area of IC/Quarry Springs.

Warning! Eat no fish from Clear Creek, Pleasant Run, Salt or Richland Creeks.
