IC Springs Water Treatment Plant
- Design is complete
- Treatment building 80' x 230'
- 50% extra room for possible expansion
- 2 acre/ft storage capacity spec
- 1000/gal/min treatment
- 5000 gal/min into tanks
- 2 storage tanks = 4 acre ft of water (twice the capacity of the speccifications)
- Tanks are 60'd x32' ft. tall
- 3.7" rain within 6 hours would surpass storage/treeatment capacity (25 year flood)
- By pumping water through the water treatment plant, they may reduce the water flow at the Quarry Springs sites (A, B, & C)
- Concerns from the public about Quarry Springs contamination and the need to post warning signs and construct fencing.
