Weekly Progress Status Report

October 26 thru November 1, 1999

This report is intended to provide a weekly project update regarding the major developments for the remediation work at Bennett's Quarry. Included are progress updates, sample analytical results, schedule updates, waste shipping information and field change decisions. Complete sampling logs, shipping logs and air monitoring and meteorological data logs are available at the site. .

Bennett's Quarry Project Site Activities

• 73 trucks shipped 1,856.38 tons of material to EQ for disposal during week of 10/26/99.
• The final 9 trucks were shipped on 10/29/99. A final total of 36,157.62 tons has been shipped for the project.
• No capacitors were recovered during the week of 10/26/99. A final total of 1,756 capacitors has been recovered thru for the project.
• Final roll-off with 3.86 tons of capacitors was shipped this week. A total of 9 roll-offs at 121.16 tons was shipped for the project.
• A final 12,700 gallons of water was treated this week. A total of 119,888 gallons was treated for the project
• Completed backfilling areas sampled and confirmed clean. Continued deconning and demobing equipment.
• Continued perimeter air sampling. Last day of perimeter air sampling was 10/29/99.

Bennett's Quarry Planned Site Activities

November 2 - November 7, 1999

• Finish grading and seeding clay cover.
• Finish demobing equipment.
• Site walk through planned for November 3, 1999.
• No More Weekly Meetings for Bennett's Dump!
